They had to encapsulate all of God in just one word. It was a challenge, to be sure, but they rose to the task like champions, sending us more than 2, responses on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We combed through these answers for the most popular words and came up with a list that showcases a few different perspectives. Verse 4. - And I heard the number of them which were sealed. The description of the actual operation of sealing is omitted (cf. Ezekiel 9, where it is also omitted). And there were sealed an hundred and forty and four "and there were." This number - the square of 12 multiplied by - is typical of a large and perfect number.

In other words, God’s election unto salvation is not based on a foreknowledge of an individual’s faith, but is based on the free, sovereign grace of Almighty God.

The word of God to all the elect number book elects people to salvation, and in time these people will come to faith in Christ because God has elected them. The "elect of God" is a theological phrase that refers to predestination. Predestination holds that God determined who will be saved. Those people are the elect of God.

He chose—or elected—them. The doctrine of election is not controversial; verses such as Ephesians clearly talk about God choosing people.

What is controversial is how. The first four uses of the word elect can be found in the book of Isaiah (Isaiah ; Isaiah ; Isaiah ; Isaiah ). We see from the context of these verses that there are several different people being referred to as God’s elect: • IsaiahGod’s elect is Jesus Christ.

• IsaiahGod’s elect. GOD HATH SOME WHO ARE ELECT AND CHOSEN, AND OTHERS ARE NOT. Men may be called the elect of God three ways. In respect of some temporal function or ministry to which the Lord hath designed them () In regard of that actual election and choice of some people and nations above others, unto the true means of life and salvation, so to become the people of God's election.

The “Elect” are no longer God’s chosen people, they are Christian’s. The rapture is for the non believers, Christian’s who did not fallow the scripture right or have been left behind to continue the word of God, and for the Jews final chance for salvation!/5(9).

The elect or chosen people in the New Testament are believers from all nations. The Elect Are Those Whom God, Looking Ahead from Eternity, Sees Will Choose to Trust in Jesus Christ as Their Savior.

Peter addresses his first epistle to the elect or chosen ones “according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the. All others are predestined by God to eternal damnation.

The gospel can be preached day and night to the latter, yet to no avail, because they are totally incapable of believing it. God gives the faith to believe to the elect alone, though He could do so for all. Yet never is this repugnant doctrine taught in Scripture.

For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. The Church As The Elect Ephesians Many have interpreted the signing of the Book of the Elect to be a sign of commitment and discipleship.

This is certainly true, and when seen in this light, it would seem appropriate for both catechumens (the unbaptized) and candidates (the already-baptized) to sign the Book of the Elect. The Spirit of God should have perfect control, influencing every action." {Maranatha } Lets look at some of the descriptions in the Bible of God's elect and what they are like: Isaiah Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Let God’s Word speak for God: I Peter "ELECT ACCORDING TO THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD THE FATHER." So now we begin to see the basis of this election. has had all the names of His elect written in the book of life from before the foundation of the world, before creation began.

Those who are not His elect; do not have their names written. The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth, because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love.

What does the Bible teach about election. Election is the act of God whereby in eternity past He chose those who will be saved. Election is unconditional, because it does not depend on anything outside of God, such as good works or foreseen faith (Romans ).This doctrine is repeatedly taught in the Bible, and is also demanded by our knowledge of God.

The word of God to all the elect number: with a few words in a deep lamentation over the seed of life, to its tender father concerning them that have transgressed in Israel. Author: Thomas West, of Hertford. God aims “to bring all elect creatures in heaven and earth to an union one to another, in one body under one head, and to unite all together in one body to God the Father” (Ephesians ).

God designed “to advance all the elect to an exceeding pitch of glory, such as eye has not seen.”. Ranking. Rank is a value from 0 to indicating how closely a match scored or ranked against the original search string.

Rank values are affected by the following factors: The total number of occurrences of the original search words/phrases in a portion of a book. The word election is basically the same word as chosen, and in many cases is used interchangeably.

What we must consider is how the word elect is applied. As Peter related, we must make our election sure. The word sure means "steadfast, firm, and stable". We must give all diligence to assure our election in God. God's elect teaches the word, it's God that does the sealing in the forehead; 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Sea are the people from All races (Revelation ) The Angel is. Warnings to God's Elect Commitment And Loyalty The Call to Salvation A Warning And an Opportunity Trials of Life No Fear in Love Do All Through Jesus We Shall Reign With Jesus The Prize The Father And Jesus Will Never Forsake Us The Seven Churches A Warning to The Elect of God A Book of Revealing This is a mark of God's elect, that they persevere and are preserved forever.

The marks of the elect in particular. Now we want to see from the book of 1 John some of the particular characteristics and qualities of the elect of God. All of the elect should bear these marks, at least in some measure.

As you know, we've been looking at this chapter for the last couple of weeks under the title, 'Identifying the Elect.' And I suppose that you would all agree with me that nothing is more important i.Biblical Numbers Are Inspired The Word of God is divinely inspired.

You can take a word, such as love, study every place in the Bible where it is found, and come to a spiritual understanding of its meaning. In the same way, you can study numbers in scripture and arrive at an understanding of.

So Peter is also using the phrase “God’s elect” in connection with his own people, the Jews, and, in particular the believers among them (via use of his phrase ‘strangers in the world’ which refers to Christ’s words to His disciples in John, etc. which Peter was there to hear himself), who at that time were indeed scattered.
